Donations Needed!

So far 2008 has been a year of great success and impact on the community through Need-A-Break Services. However, with great amounts of work comes greater amounts of costs. We need continuous and generous donations in order to sustain our life-changing work in the community. Please consider a donation to enable our work to continue!

Volunteer Opportunity-Plumber and/or Handyman Needed

Minor home repair work is needed to be completed by a skilled plumber or handyman. This work will be done for an elderly woman in Lakewood, WA living all alone without family to turn to for help. Please contact us as soon as possible if you may be able to help with this project.

Volunteer Opportunity-Wrap Up On White Center Project

We need volunteers to help us finish the project for the family in White Center. There will be a work day on March 8th to complete the last pieces of work needed. Please let us know if you can help with this! We need you to make this project complete for a family that has dealt with tragedy!

Announcing Good Nhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifeighbor Day-Applicants and Volunteers Needed!

Need-A-Break Services is putting on a community service day for 10 families in need of extra help this spring.

Get Involved with Good Neighbor Day

We are sponsoring a special day to help you spread the love of Christ by helping others in their community who need a break. Another objective that is equally important to us is creating
long-lasting relationships with people in the churches and groups that get involved. We will be
taking applications from the community for minor home repair and yard service. Ten applicants will be selected based on factors within our application process. We will then perform all ten
repairs across the community on one day, May 10th 2008.

How It Works

Groups (10-20 people) of family, friends, small groups or other can sign up as crews to adopt a home that has been selected. This will include volunteering your time and donating the
materials or funds needed for the project. We will give your crew the information on the applicant after they have already been selected through our application process so that when you arrive on site all the details will have been worked out before.
If you are an individual we need you too! We will plug you into a group and your help will be greatly needed and appreciated. You can meet new friends while making a difference for your community.
There is also always the opportunity for you to make donations to Need-A-Break to help with the overall cost of this project and our other gifts we give to the community.
